The plot of the film follows a family, who are living in a post-apocalyptic world, struggling to survive an alien invasion. The family is led by a father (Michael Peña) who is determined to protect his wife (Lizzy Caplan) and two children (Amiyah Scott and Israel Broussard) from the aliens. While the family is fighting for their lives, they must also come to terms with the fact that the aliens have the power to completely annihilate the human race.
